Space Comrades

Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Space Comrades To put it nicely, I am easily enthused about things. I started the Space Comrades just to basically get rid of a bunch of unpainted figures, but the more I do them, the more I'm stoked about them.

I'm already thinking about converting the remaining few figures into special HQ figures because right now I have five squads but no one to command them. Yes, I already did some minor conversion on the sergeants just to make them a little bit more individual. The figures don't really lend themselves to major modification but there must be something I can do.

Thinking about it, I actually have some figures that are vaguely similar in style. Maybe I will experiment using the same color scheme to tie them together.

I'm also searching through the Great Internjet for fonts, images, music... watch this space for something new...

Mantic Surprise Box Also, I got the Mantic surprise box a couple of days ago. It contains a selection of sprues from the older lines. I counted 60 figures, two warmachines and one vehicle but curiously no bases. That's not really an issue for me since I base everything on washers anyway, but it is a bit odd. I'm not sure if all the boxes are the same, but I think it seems likely. I got a selection of orcs, goblins, undead, elves, dwarves and space dwarves and orcs.

I think the box is still available for 24.99 GBP at Mantic Games

In other news, I tried out Cold War Commander with my Vietnam figures. The jury is still out on that, I think I need a couple more games to form an opinion about it.
