The Irony of It All

Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Rise of the Space Komsomol I made this video two days ago.

Yesterday, I received a notification from the customs that they had my Chickenhawk kits. I got to try out the new fancy online customs declaration tool they have, and it seems to be working fine. Which hopefully means the comrades will be getting their reinforcements shortly.

But I certainly did not plan this! I haven't had a package stuck in the customs in quite a while and this order actually would have been toll free under the old rules. Looks like they've really managed to tighten the net. Not that I have a problem with that, give the emperor and all that. I ordered the Chickenhawks online because they are OOP and I couldn't find a supplier closer.

Bug Factory On other news, I finally finished cleaning all the legs on the first batch of bugs last night. 140 legs (there are some extras on the sprues)! Now I only have 56 head pieces, 56 mandibles and 56 lower body pieces left to clean. And then the second batch, which is actually slightly larger. Sigh... I hate plastic kits for bulk troops.

On the plus side, these figures will be a snap to base.

On a related note, I finally caved in and ordered some Foundry Napoleonics. These will be classic one pose, one piece metal models. And they're Portuguese, with relatively simple uniforms. More like my idea of bulk troops. And for nappies, I don't even mind the single pose. Let's see how fast they are to do.

P.S. The next video will be about the First Comrade winning in a lottery. Can't hurt to try, right?
