Project S2: Deadline Approaches

Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Bug Holes I've been distracted a bit by some other things, but I managed to make these bug holes for the game anyway. They are an essential part of the bug gameplay, and the flimsy cardboard templates in the game box just don't cut it.

Yeah, they don't look too impressive but they'll have to do. Partly that is because I made a video while I was making them. My capability for multi-processing is a bit limited... the video still needs to be edited but it should be out soon enough.

I really planned to paint some of the different bug types for the demo game, but that seems unlikely now. If interest in the game picks up, I'll finish them a bit later. In any case, it's probably better to run the demo game with as few distractions as possible.

On the Mobile Infantry front, things are looking much better. I finished another 16 troopers including two custom built snipers and some higher command. This should give plenty of options for the MI roster.

Space Komsomol Reinforcements I still have a bunch of figures left to paint. Roughly a starter box worth of basic troops for both sides, a few boxes of blasters and hoppers for the bugs and some MI support plus a few skinnies. There's really way too few skinnies for a real force, but I'll see what I can do with them.

Since I already have 60 basic warrior bugs painted, I'll probably convert the remaining ones to some of the more special (and largely unavailable) types. And I have pile of leftover bug claws, now what could those be used for...

Less than a week to the big day... and I still need to re-read the rules and prepare the lists.
