A Clear And Present Danger |

Summer is here and the weather has been very nice for several weeks already. Unfortunately this does pose something of a problem: weather like this is so rare in Finland that staying indoors painting figures quickly loses its allure.
With so many other things to do, I fear for my new year resolutions and painting progress in general.
Fortunately there is one thing that can be done under the sun: Cleaning and assembling figures. This is something I don't particularly enjoy, especially with plastic figures that come in multiple itsy-bitsy pieces, but it is the sort of simple, repetetive mechanical work that doesn't require a whole lot of equipment.
Spray priming is also another thing that substantially nicer to do in the summer. Even though I've mostly moved to brush on primer (black gesso), there is still some call for spraywork. I'll try to do as much of that as possible.
Thus I will grab some tools and sprues and retire to my deck chair with my favorite gaming podcasts to get stuff prepared for the long winter nights. When they're already started, I must finish them promptly, right? (A couple of primed figures that have been sitting on my desk for literally years might disagree on that...)
Now, if I only could think of a figure activity suitable to be done while cruising down country roads with the top down...
