Escape From Castle ZX

Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Escape From Castle ZX Last night we had the final game of my In Her Majesty's Name minicampaign. The adventurers were captured by Sir Sinclair in his bid to wreak vengeance upon Hassan and his cronies. Unfortunately severe head trauma or months spent in the jungle without proper tea had unhinged Sir Sinclair a bit and pretty much everyone else qualified as Hassan's crony.

Thus a prison break was in order. In order to bring the amount of figures down to more playable levels, I made everyone split their companies into two parts. One started the breakout while the others might be rescued on the way.

To add a little time pressure, it appears that Sir Sinclair's dungeon was actually built on top of the ancient ruins of the Temple of The Pilferers of Hereditary Knowledge, who objected to the intrusion and started crawling out of the stonework as soon as the escape was on its way.

Oh, did I mention I stripped most of their equipment and introduced OSP protocols?

Escape From Castle ZX Yes, I admit it. It was pretty much a remake of my old Castle Chelmsford 3-D game. It was pretty fun to do again, though there could have been a little more infighting. After the initial prison cell scuffle everyone pretty much concentrated on running away and taking out the guards.

But objectively speaking, the game really can't take this strain. It slows down to nearly painful levels with this many participants. Which is kinda sad because I really like games as a social event with multiple players. I will have to think of some other way to handle these games in the future....

On the other hand, doing the comic style report was pretty fun. I think I will buy that software and do more of them...
