Yes, I got the brilliant idea for this little thing last week in the sauna (cooking your brain does wonders to your thought processes). And after obtaining permission from Test Subject S, I grabbed one of her unpainted daleks and painted it in this new color scheme.

It was actually surprisingly fast to do, though I did neglect shading the smaller details. I guess I can live without that Golden Demon...

In other news, I made the first prototype for the new flight stands. It looks pretty good if I say so myself. Now I have to finish the others and order more parts.

I still need to paint the base. I'm thinking actually a neutral gray would probably be better than the black I used for the previous bases.

On a slightly related note, I just started reading a book on the Battle of the Java Sea. I'm pretty hyped about this project. It will be interesting to collect and paint the forces involved (including pretty much the entire Dutch navy). Maybe I can even get someone to play it...
