Heist Training Day |

I promised to run a Heist demo for people with no previous knowledge of miniature games. So I decided to kill two birds with one proverbial stone, and wrote a few tutorial -style scenarios to introduce players to key concepts in the game. Especially since Heist is very much rooted in video games, I thought the step-by-step tutorial style would suit it well.
I ran the tutorial scenarios for a couple of experienced Heist playetesters and overall the results were pretty good I think. I will make a few changes and due to time limitations probably pick just two or three of the scenarios to run at the event, but the full package will be available with the Heist rules... whenever that comes out.
If I was a betting man, I'd say early summer.
P.S. Have you noticed that the ongoing "who's a real gamer?" -controversy seems to be completely centered around computer games? There were games and gamers way before transistors and I reckon there will be even after the blast has bricked all the PSPs and iPads... but I guess you can't expect people who bother with this sort of "controversy" in the first place to have very broad scopes.
