Project H2: Reinforcements |

Slammers get some reinforcements! I decided to kit out a full artillery detachment even though their actual on board usage is somewhat limited. So I ordered another hog and a command car, figuring I'd fill out the auxiliary vehicles with some of the stuff I already have on hand.
There's also a bunch of blower tank destroyers assembled (mostly because they were really easy to assemble). I'm just not quite sure how I should paint them. I got my stencils but as I'm not very comfortable with the airbrush I'm a bit unsure about that. A single color would be easy to do, but I really want to do a little bit more with them. I could also just airbrush the camo on... but fortunately I have an excellent test model for the stencils. I just need to build it first...
Then it's onto the Prosperity rebels. I got the tanks for them, but the turret rings were too small for my standard magnets so I ordered some smaller ones but they haven't arrived yet. And I have the same dilemma with the camo... the fact that I have 15 AFVs and three trucks to do does limit the desire to do too involved schemes a bit.
There are so many different forces in the Slammers inverse I think it would be folly trying to build them all. Instead, I think I am going to do a couple of different forces using similar color schemes. Probably a tracked force in greenish, a hover force in tan or similar desert scheme and wheeled auxiliaries for both.
Maybe I should do the full Prosperity campaign? It's not that long actually, but only the final battle is really interesting. Perhaps it could be run in one day as an extended scenario...
Then I need to get all the forces for the battles in The Warrior. Some of the best action scenes in the Slammers stories, if you ask me...
