Project H2: Broglie's Legion

Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Project H2: Broglie's Tank Destroyers I've been putting these off for a long time, but I finally got around to painting them. Yes, there's been a lot of stuff in the works but I must admit it's partly because I'm still not quite comfortable with my airbrush and thus I tend to avoid projects that include airbrushing.

However, I managed to paint these with minimal hassle so I guess I'm at least capable of learning... and in this weather I can move the compressor outside, which reduces jarring noise attacks quite a bit (I have a real one fit to drive a nailgun).

I did the digicamo using my new stencils from Anarchy Models. The stencils work great, though I was using too much paint for this 4-layer scheme -- some paint thickness issues are evident especially with the black bits since that was the first layer. I could also work a bit on the color selection, the light brown is so close to the olive green it's kinda cool for camo but bad for painting. Contrast is still the king with these things...

Incidentally, the olive is Vallejo colored primer. Those things are brilliant and much cheaper than the tiny dropper bottles. I need to get more colours of them.

Project H2: Broglie's Tank Destroyers Now I have painted all my Slammers stuff for a change. So I guess I need to buy some more. There's still plenty of room for auxiliary vehicles in the green army and there's the whole tan army to do... I think tans will get hex camo. I just need the smaller hex camo sheet for these.

But who will get the pinup camo?

Anyway, Now I have the Slammers, I have the Prosperity rebels and I even have the Broglie's Legion. I guess I should stop procrastinating and actually set up a game with these.

P.S. I can't do shading with an airbrush. I just washed these with sepia.
