Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Brutish Aliens Well, the gap is roughly 50 figures smaller than it used to be, but there's still about 500 figures to be painted and just one month left. And it's December, which typically is not the hottest production month anyways...

Part of the problem is that when the realistic goal disappeared over the horizon, my purchase control went out the window as well. The Chronopia closeout sale did not help any either...

Five hundred figures in a month is an intimidating figure (pun intended)... it's darn tough, but not completely in the realm of impossibility. Could I paint 500 figures without buying any more? The not buying part is going to sting a bit, but I think I can manage that. But the production part is going to take a huge effort and quite frankly it cannot be achieved with my usual lineup.

There is just no way to paint 500 28mm figures to an acceptable standard in a month. But I painted almost 150 15mm infantry figures last month, and looking at the diary entries they didn't really take all that long. It's just that while I don't quite hate painting 15mm anymore, I certainly don't love it either and doing it all under time pressure is not going to make the experience any more enjoyable. And then there's the stuff I'd actually like to do...

Gundam Loot Well, you miss 100% of the shots don't take, right?

At least I have enough bases for them now...

P.S. Does anyone know of a faster method to base 15mm figures? I find that actually takes the most time with them... I glue them on the base first and then spread the Vallejo goo around them, which takes some finesse between the figures.
