June-July: 223 - 373

Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Archers Assemble The tide begins to turn!

I thought I wasn't doing that well, but I actually managed to paint 79 figures in June and July, while only four new ones arrived (remainders from an old Kickstarter).

Still miles off the high water marks of previous years, but definitely a step in the right direction. The key to upping the production numbers is doing a batch of bulk troops between the more involved jobs. Big surprise there, huh? It's funny how you sometimes just forget the simplest of things.

It's partly because I still don't have a gaming project to paint for. I'm committed to painting my Chronopia stuff simply because I really like it, but it's not really bulk production friendly. So I decided to start paint my medievals also, like the archers here. They are much simpler figures, needed en masse for mass battle games and quite conducive to successful mass production.

Assuming no new figures arriving, I'm still down 150 or so, meaning four months at this rate to break even... gotta step up the work. And hope Wrath of Kings is late.
