November: 385 - 670 |

Ok, we are officially sunk. I'm now 285 figures behind and it just isn't going to happen in December -- despite what I did last year. I don't have the motivation and I don't have that many easy to paint figures on hand. And quite frankly I just don't want to do it.
Even though November was far from a stellar month with just 15 figures painted, what pulled me under was the Wrath of Kings Kickstarter finally appearing on my doorstep with 238 fresh new models. Seeing this, I caved in an bought the new Antares game box as well. The Ghar models are actually rather nice but seeing the rest of it I probably should have just ordered those.
It's not all doom and gloom, though. Even though I did not go cold turkey with figure purchases, I have cut them back to almost nil. It's just these ill-advised Kickstarter pledges that caught up with me. This is clearly what I need to be doing in the future as well, coupled with getting rid of some unwanted lead in the storage.
Comparing to last year, overall production seems a lot smaller too. I think this is because despite everything I have concentrated on painting stuff I wanted to paint instead of just production numbers. That's another trend I will keep following. I will still keep the painting diary and everything, but I think I will drop all lofty goals next year.
P.S. For November, I blame Destiny... but I keep thinking how I could turn that into a miniatures game.
