Project V started!

Yours truly faking painting.

Note the beverage of the gods.

Project V finally got off the ground as the stalwart officers of the postal service managed to deliver my Viet Cong figures. Imperialist oppressors beware!

To give you a little background, I painted up my Flames of War Americans and didn't completely hate doing them -- I used to absolutely hate 15mm figures. There are numerous reasons for that but more about it later.

Anyway, I didn't really feel like doing another WWII force (part of the reason for going to FoW was that painting two forces shouldn't be necessary). I still needed a period with very simple earth tone uniforms, because this is what I feel I can produce in 15mm to an acceptable level. So it was basically a coin toss between Vietnam using FoW Tropic Thunder rules and Africa using Peter Pig's AK47 Republic rules.

A friend of mine expressed interest in Vietnam and the rest is... well Project V.

Expect to see more project updates in the blog. With new technological advances, even pictures are a possibility...
