Project V: A Company Of Foote, or two. |

I labored through my remaining infantry company figures last night, putting in the details and finally washing the 102 figures. Now they just need a whiff of grapesh... sorry, varnish and basing.
This took me a little under 6 hours of work, uninterrupted. That works out to 360 minutes for 102 figures or about 3 and a half minutes per figure. Basing will still take time and I didn't really clock the cleaning, priming and base color stages, so I'm going to call it roughly 10 minutes per figure.
This is thus 3-5 times faster than doing 28mm figures. Then again, it's also clearly visible. These figures don't work individually anymore, they need to be viewed en masse from a respectable distance to avoid provoking gurgatory reflexes. Thus the processing speed is partly negated by the need to do more of them.
Once I get these based, I'll tackle the HQ and weapons companies. Then I need to assess how many extra figures I ended up with and maybe order some reinforcements from Peter Pig.
P.S. Falling asleep during the final fight scene is typically not a very good sign for a movie. It happened to me last night with the Solomon Kane movie, which despite the name of the main character didn't really seem to have a whole lot to do with Solomon Kane. Oh well...
