Ogre

These picture are from a recent game of Ogre. It had always bothered me, and this game made it painfully evident again -- I think the weapon ranges in Ogre are silly. Not only does it feel very stupid to be barely able to shoot past your front fender, but it also means you have to cross half the table to get within shooting distance of anything and most importantly, it means your range measurements have to be millimeter precision, which can easily lead to arguments.

The game ended in a huge attacker victory, as the only weapons the defender actually got to shoot effectively were the laser turrets.

Incidentally, this batch of photos is not scanned. I ordered the pictures on CD-ROM, which saved me considerable work.
